Shopping on Fuji

Visitors buy wooden pilgrim walking sticks in keeping with Japanese tradition at the base of the mountain collecting the crests of the different stations along the trail. These symbols are branded onto the sticks making this a much cherished souvenir and chronicle of a climber’s  journey.
