SRMA

The purpose of the SRMA is to support to the Vice-Chancellor by leading and managing the provision of strategic direction, high level planning, coordination, support and reporting for resource mobilisation and advancement across the University and to implement certain strategic projects in line with institutional strategy. The SRMA has both a strategic role (facilitation, coordination, capacity building and reporting) as well as an operational one. It drives key resource mobilisation projects and provides support and additional capacity to the DVCs to provide to ensure resource mobilisation is mainstreamed throughout the University.

Trust

The Nelson Mandela University Trust (IT48/2001(E)) operates in terms of a trust deed that was revised in 2015.  Nelson Mandela University is the sole beneficiary of the Trust. The Trust is registered with SARS as a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO Registration Number 18/11/13/3878) and as such is able to issue Section 18A tax certificates for certain categories of donations that qualify for tax rebates.
